Battery charging
NOTICE
9 Do not connect a VRLA
(Valve Regulated Lead Acid)
battery. To charge a VRLA
battery, a special (constant-
voltage) battery charger is
required.
9 For Canada, do not use AC
and DC power at the same
time or the generator may
be damaged.
TIP
9 The generator DC rated volt-
age is 12V.
9 Make connections to the
battery after starting the en-
gine.
9 Clamp the red wire to the
positive (+) terminal and the
black wire to the negative
(–) terminal of the battery.
Do not reverse these posi-
tions.
1. Start the engine.
2. Turn the DC switch (N.F.B.)
to "I" (ON) (for Canada),
press in the DC protector

then install the battery.

par soupape). Pour recharger
une batterie VRLA, un char-
geur de batterie spécial (à
tension constante) est requis.

Pour le Canada, ne faites pas
simultanément fonctionner le
générateur sur l'alimentation
CA et CC, car vous risque-
riez de l'endommager.
N.B.
9 La tension nominale du courant
continu du groupe électrogène
est de 12V.
9 Ne
branchez la batterie
qu'après avoir mis le moteur
en marche.
9 Fixez le fil rouge à la borne po-
sitive (+) de la batterie et le fil
noir à la borne négative (–). Ne
faites jamais le contraire.
1. Mettez le moteur en marche.
2. Mettez le commutateur CC
(sans fusible) sur « I »
(MARCHE) (pour le Canada),
appuyez sur la protection CC
(sauf pour le Canada), puis
mettez la batterie en place.
N.B.
Excepté pour le Canada, enfoncer
le protecteur de CC pour le rénitia-
liser.
