INSPECTION PROCEDURE
OBDII scan tool (excluding TOYOTA hand–held tester)
Check fuel pressure control VSV (See page EG2–589, step
Check voltage between terminal FPU of ECM connector and
body ground.
Check fuel pressure regulator (See page EG2–240).
Check and replace ECM (See page IN–36).
1MZ–FE ENGINE – CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Replace fuel pressure control VSV.
(1) Remove glove compartment
(See page EG2–309).
(2) Turn ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage between terminal FPU of ECM
connector and body ground.
Voltage: 9 –14 V
Check for open and short in harness and
connector between EFI main relay and
ECM (See page IN–31).
Repair or replace.
