Check voltage between terminal VC of wire harness side connector
and body ground.
Check throttle position sensor.
1MZ–FE ENGINE – CIRCUIT INSPECTION
(1) Disconnect the throttle position sensor con–
nector.
(2) Turn ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage between terminal VC of wire har–
ness side connector and body ground.
Voltage: 4.5 – 5.5 V
Go to step
Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
Measure resistance between terminals 4, 3 and 1
of throttle position sensor.
Terminals
1 –4
1 –3
Replace throttle position sensor.
Throttle valve Resistance
4.25 – 8.25 kW
Fully closed 0.3 – 6.3 kW
3.5 – 10.3 kW
Fully open
