MAF METER REMOVAL
(See Components for Removal and Installation)
1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE (–) TERMINAL CABLE
FROM BATTERY
CAUTION: Work must be started after 90 seconds from
the time the Ignition switch is turned to the 'LOCK'
position and the negative (–) terminal cable Is discon–
nected from the battery.
2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER NOSE
(a) Disconnect the PCV hose.
(b) Loosen the 2 hose clamps, and remove the air cleaner
hose.
3. REMOVE MAP METER
(a) Disconnect the MAF meter connector.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and MAF meter.
MAF METER INSPECTION
1. INSPECT MAF METER RESISTANCE
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between
terminals THA and E2.

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the MAF
meter.
