Check injector of misfiring cylinder.
Check for open and short in harness and
connector between injector and ECM
(See page IN–31).
Check fuel pressure.
1MZ–FE ENGINE – CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Disconnect injector connector
(See page EG2–243) .
Measure resistance of injector.
Resistance: 5 – 23 Ω at 202C (682F)
Replace injector.
(1) Install the SST (pressure gauge) to the fuel
filter outlet. (See page EG2–231) .

(2) Turn ignition switch ON.
(3) Connect the TOYOTA hand–held tester to the
DLC3.
(4) Use ACTIVE TEST mode to operate the fuel
pump.
HINT: The fuel pump can be operated by connecting
terminals B and FP of data link connector 1.
Measure the fuel pressure.
Fuel pressure: 265 – 304 kPa
(2.7 – 3.1 kgf/cm
Check and repair fuel pump, pressure
regulator, fuel pipe line and filter
(See page EG2–230).
