Removal Note
Nuts (Driveshaft)
1. Before removing the driveshaft, mark the driveshaft and out-
put shaft for proper reassembly.

Disassembly / Inspection I Assembly
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure, referring to Disassembly Note.
2. Inspect aH parts and repair or replace as necessary.
3 Assemble in the reverse order of removal, referring to Assembly Note.
Caution
l
Secure the driveshaft in a vise with protective material (such as copper plates) on the vise jaws.
l
Be careful that dust or other foreign material does not enter the ball joint while the work is
being performed.
l
Do not disassemble the wheel side ball joint.
l
Do not
wash
the ball joint unless it is being disassembled.
