SMALL SUN GEAR AND ONE-WAY CLUTCH
Preinspection
One-way clutch operation
While holding the one-way clutch outer race, verify that the
one-way clutch inner race rotates smoothly when turned clock-
wise and locks when turned counterclockwise. If not as sbeci-
I
fied, replace the one-way clutch.
Disassembly / Inspection / Assembly
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure.
2. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
3. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to Assembly Procedure.

Check the following and replace any faulty parts.
1. Sun gear drum and small sun gear for damage or wear
2. Bushing for damage or wear
Specification
Sun gear drum: 33.425mm (1.316 in) max.
Small sun gear: 24.021mm (0.946 in) max.
