OPERATION
NautoPilot 5000 Series
Message
Heading was not trans-
mitted to the NautoPilot
for a moment.
This alert comes up ev-
ery 7 seconds until hav-
ing selected a new set
heading of changed
steering mode. Auto-
matic mode is deacti-
vated and rudder is fro-
zen.
Interruption of a Track
Change Manoeuvre
during Track Control.
The connection between
slave and master Nauto-
Pilot Operator Unit has
failed.
The connection between
GUI and internal control-
ler has failed (slave to
master).
Software version is cop-
ied onto the NautoPilot.
Course change manoeuvre is active or Course
Control was activated.
Course Control
interruption because
there is no position data.
Course Control interrup-
tion because the head-
ing sensor integrity
check has not been
passed.
Course Control interrup-
tion because a magnetic
compass is selected as
heading input.

Remedy
Check Heading and Set
Heading.
Select new Set Heading
or change steering mode
(see section 4.3.6).
Check
RAD/RoT adjustments
and Rudder limit (see
sections 2.3.6.3 and
2.3.6.4) -- they can be
changed after this inter-
ruption.

configuration
(see Service Manual)
-- Check ethernet
connection
(see Service Manual)
Wait until copying of soft-
ware is completed (see
Installation Manual).
Check position
sensor(s)
(see section 2.3.5.5).
Check heading sensor
system.
Select gyro compass for
Course Control.
