FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Remove the bolts and brake hose clamp.
XL700VA only:
Loosen the steering top thread.
While holding the steering stem, remove the top
thread.
Remove the dust seal.
Remove the following:
– Steering stem
– Upper inner race
– Upper bearing
– Lower bearing
BEARING RACE REPLACEMENT
Remove the upper and lower bearing outer race
using the special tools.
TOOLS:
Ball race remover set
– Remover attachment
– Driver shaft
