If the oil level is below or near the lower level mark
on the dipstick, add the recommended oil to the
upper level mark.
RECOMMENDED ENGINE OIL:
Honda "4-stroke motorcycle oil " or an equivalent
Oil recommendation:
API service classification SG or higher
(except oils labeled as energy conserving on the
circular API service label)
Viscosity: SAE 10W-30
JASO T 903 standard: MA
Other viscosities shown in the chart may be used
when the average temperature in your riding area is
within the indicated range.
Make sure the O-ring is in good condition, replace it
if necessary.
Coat the O-ring with engine oil and install it.
Install the oil filler cap/dipstick.
For engine oil change (page 3-13).

ENGINE OIL FILTER

Change the oil with engine warm and the motorcy-
cle on its sidestand to assure complete and rapid
draining.
Remove the under cowl (page 2-13).
Start the engine, warm it up and stop it.
Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick (page 3-12).
Remove the oil drain bolt, sealing washer and drain
the engine oil.
