(18) Fuser Speed

This adjustment must be made in the following case:
• Brush effect or blurred image is evident as a result of changes in environmental condi-
tions or degraded durability.
Adjustment Procedure
1. Call the Tech. Rep. Mode to the screen.
2. Touch these keys in this order: "Machine Adjust" → "Fuser Speed."
3. Select the transport speed, at which the brush effect or blurred image has occurred.
Transport Speed
135 mm/s Plain paper: monochrome, color
90 mm/s
60 mm/s Thick paper, OHP, envelope, postcard, labels: monochrome, color
4. Enter the new setting from the 10-Key Pad.
• If brush effect is evident, decrease the setting.
• If a blurred image occurs, increase the setting.
5. Touch "END" to validate the adjustment value.
6. Check the copy image for any image problem.
