PINManaging Annunciator Messages
Follow this process.
1. Record or convert the audio prompt to Microsoft wav format. The wav file must comply with
these specifications:
G.711
l
8kHz sample rate
l
16-bit resolution
l
mono
l
mu-Law.
l
Tip:
When Bridge Talk is used to record audio prompts, the audio prompts are

recorded in the correct Microsoft wav format and stored in the /usr2/flexannun
directory on the NFS share where recordings are configured to be saved.
2. Configure the TFTP Server's root directory to be the directory where the audio prompts
reside.
3. Use the Convedia Web User Interface to load the audio prompt to the Convedia Media
Server.
Make sure the clip type is named. When replacing a message, make sure to use the file

name that corresponds to the message number. Refer to
Messages and Message Numbering
The audio clip identifier should be the /usr2/flexannun followed by the audio prompt file

number with a .wav file extension. For example, the Welcome prompt would be "/usr2/
flexannun/0.wav"
The IP address should be the IP address of the TFTP server.

The path and filename on the TFTP Server should be the audio prompt file

Customizing Message Prompts

At installations of the hardware-based media servers, the audio prompts are stored locally on
the media server. To customize audio prompts, the prompt files must be loaded onto the Media
Server.
