About Annunciator Performance
About Annunciator Performance
At certain times, an annunciator resource may not be available to play a requested message.
This can occur when system use is extremely heavy, when messages are long, or when many
lines attempt to enter a conference within a short span of time. When this does occur, the
system waits for an available annunciator and then plays the message. This may cause a delay
between the event and the message being heard.
When many participants enter a conference within a short period of time, the entry message
must be played many times. In this instance, the system repeats the request to play the
message. Messages that are being played when requested again are not played a second time.
The system records all instances when an annunciator is not available to play a message in the
system logs.
If you encounter frequent instances when annunciators are not available, adjust the length of
your messages and modify your configuration settings to meet your operational requirements.
For example, use a Tone(s) or Both setting rather than a Message setting to ensure that at least
a tone is played under heavy load conditions.
