PATCH
You can implement fixes to the message server software using the PATCH
command. System Parameter 298 —
must be set to YES to use this command.
LEVEL
Encrypted patch files can be transferred from a Web site to the message server
using the Kermit file transfer protocol. Refer to the Using Kermit section below.
There are two naming conventions for patch files:
PATsrrr.nnn
For system software patches
PXcccrrr.nnn
For VCU, LAN, and line card patches
The letters in bold face are substituted as follows:

ENABLE PATCHING AT MAINTENANCE
DLC16 patch number 8 for release 4.12 of
DLC16 firmware.
