Select the "Start-up" operating area.
2.
Press the "System data" softkey.
3.
Press the ">>" and "Archive" softkeys.
4.
Select the "RS-232-C settings" softkey.
The "Interface: RS-232-C" window is opened and the interface set‐
tings are displayed.
5.
Press the "Details" softkey if you wish to view and process addi‐
tional settings for the interface.
Meaning
The following protocol is supported for transfer via the RS-232-C:
● RTS/CTS
It is also possible to use a secure protocol for data transfer (ZMODEM
protocol).
● Normal (default setting)
● Secure
For the selected interface, secure data transfer is set in conjunction
with handshake RTS/CTS.
Transfer rate: The baud rate that can be used depends on the connected
device, the cable length and the general electrical conditions.
● 19200 (default setting, maximum baud rate for NCU (Linux))
● 115200 (maximum baud rate for PC/PCU (Windows))
● Punched tape
● Binary format (PC format)
● COM1
● COM2 (only relevant for SINUMERIK Operate on PC)
