MODE ACTUATOR
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2) If equipped with air bag system, disable air bag system.
Refer to "Disabling Air Bag System" in SECTION 9J.
3) Disconnect mode actuator coupler.
4) Disconnect mode actuator rod from heater unit.
5) Remove mode actuator from heater unit.
INSPECTION
1) Connect battery voltage (+) to terminal "A" and (–) to terminal
"G".
2) Connect each terminal listed below to terminal "G" (negative (–)
terminal of battery) and check if lever rotation is as specified
angle.

INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure for installation, and then note the fol-
lowing instruction.
D If equipped with air bag, enable air bag system. Refer to "Enab-
ling Air Bag system" in SECTION 9J.
