3G-22 SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM
1. Suspension control module

ON-VEHICLE SERVICE
SUSPENSION CONTROL MODULE
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove parking brake cover.
3) Disconnect couplers.
4) Remove suspension control module.
INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure for installation.
STEERING SENSOR
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1) Disconnect steering sensor coupler with ignition switch OFF.
2) Arrange 3 new 1.5V batteries in series (check that total voltage
is 4.5 – 5.0V) and connect its positive terminal to Vc terminal of
disconnected steering sensor coupler and negative terminal to
GND terminal.
3) Check voltage between S1 and GND (S2 and GND) terminal of
steering sensor terminal while turning steering wheel clockwise
and counterclockwise fully.
Voltmeter indicator should deflect between 0 – 0.5V and 2.5 –
3.5V 18 times while steering wheel turns one revolution.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace steering sensor (com-
bination switch).
4) Connect steering sensor coupler.

coupler (Sensor side)
3. 1.5V dry cell battery
(Total voltage is 4.5 –
5.0V)
4. Voltmeter
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2) Remove air bag module (if equipped), steering wheel and com-
bination switch assembly (with steering sensor.)
Refer to Section 3C (without air bag) or 3C1 (with air bag).
