Mammo Printing Functionality

What does it mean "Mammo Printing"?
• Mammograms are X-ray
examinations of the female breast.
• Due to the small objects the
radiographers want to recognize,
images have to have a high
dynamic range (D max > 3.6 O.D.).
• Usually 2 examinations are made:
One for the left, one for the right
breast. For diagnosis they are
hanging symmetrically at the
lightbox.
Special Mammo Adjustments:
• No DICOM host profile required to print via DICOM at the printer from non-
Mammo modality.
• A dedicated host profile is required for each Mammo modality. A host profile for
Mammo is defined via following DICOM host profile parameters:
