Developer carrier removal and replacement

Note: The following procedure can be applied to the C, M, Y, and K developer carriers.
Warning: Always perform the sensor (ATC sensor) setup and adjustment if required or print quality
problems may occur. Go to
1.
Remove the appropriate developer housing. See
"Developer housing (M) removal" on page
"Developer housing (K) removal" on page
2.
Remove the printer front door. See
Remove the transfer belt cleaner. See
3.
Remove the waste toner box.
4.
Remove the four photoconductor units.
5.
Remove the four toner supplies.
6.
Note: When removing the toner supply cartridges, ensure that all toner spillage and contamination is
completely removed using an approved toner vacuum.
Remove the operator panel left cover. See
7.
Remove the operator panel right cover. See
8.
9.
Remove the operator panel front cover. See
Remove the printhead retract door. See
10.
Remove the inner cover. See
11.
Remove the inner plate. See
12.
Using a prying tool, gently release the two hooks securing the top cover (A) to the assembly.
