Appendix_1 Firmware download
Upgrade the firmware by downloading it from the PC to the Printer.
Network and USB port are supported as communication interfaces. (However, the USB port is only
available when upgrading using the download mode.)
In this document, an example using a USB port will be described.
• Never turn off the power to the printer while the firmware is being downloaded.
• Servicing duration: About 5 minutes
Preparation:
1) Download the latest Firmware.
2) Install the printer driver and connect PC and the printer via USB or network.
1.1 Firmware version up procedure
1) Turn off the printer, and turn it on again.
Check that the control panel displays as below.
2) Double click the secfwup.exe.
3)Select interface (USB or Network) and click "Next" button.
