Chapter 1 Troubleshooting

Before commencing troubleshooting, check the paper transfer path. Make sure there is no foreign
materials on the transfer path, such as staples, paper clips, scraps of paper and so on.

Checking the printing.
1 Checked by [Test Print] - [Gradation] in diagnosis.
Is the image printed correctly?
Changing the printer driver setting.
Reset Image Settings (Brightness/Contrast) to defaults.
2 - Click [Restore Defaults] in [Image Settings] on the
[Graphics] tab.
Is the image printed correctly?
Checking the paper.
3 Is the installed paper with a new and dry one? or does the
paper satisfy the specification?
Checking after "Drum Refresh Mode".
Execute the "Drum Refresh Mode".
4 - To execute the "Drum Refresh Mode", click [Drum Refresh
Mode] in [Refresh Mode] on the diagnosis tab of Tool Box.
Is the image printed correctly?
Checking the Toner Type

Is the Toner for C2900 seated?
Checking after resetting the DRUM CARTRIDGE.
6 Reseat the DRUM CARTRIDGE.
Is the image printed correctly?
Checking after resetting the PWBA HVPS.
7 Reseat the PWBA HVPS.
Is the image printed correctly?
Checking after replacing the DRUM CARTRIDGE.
8 Replace the DRUM CARTRIDGE. (Refer to RRP4.6.)
Is the image printed correctly?
