6.3 Control Unit
NOTICE
Risk of impairing the driving performance of the power
wheelchair.  The  driving  characteristics  of  the  power 
wheelchair can be affected by electromagnetic fields (mo-
bile phones or other radiating devices). Therefore all mo-
bile devices must be turned off when driving.

NOTICE
Risk of damage to other devices. The power wheelchair 
can generate electromagnetic fields that can cause inter-
ference with other devices. Therefore, switch off the con-
trols whenever you do not need them.
6.3.1 Control Panel
The power wheelchair is operated using the control panel.
The control panel consists of a keypad, LCD monitor, and 
joystick.  The  programming  receptacle  and  two  inputs  for 
external  push-buttons  are  located  on  the  underside.  The 
power  wheelchair  is  turned  on  and  off  using  the  keypad; 
driving commands can be entered and the status of certain 
functions and components can be displayed.
