FINAL REDUCTION OIL
LEVEL CHECK
Make sure the final reduction case has no oil leaks.
Support the scooter with its center stand on a level
surface.
Warm up the engine to normal operating tempera­
ture.
Remove the final reduction oil check bolt and check
whether the oil flows out from the check bolt hole.
If the level is low (oil does not flow out), add the rec·
om mended oil.

RECOMMENDED FINAL REDUCTION OIL:

Hypoid gear oil #90
Install the final reduction oil check bolt with a new
sealing washer a n d tighten it to the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 13 N·m (1.3 kgf·m, 9 1bf . ft)
FINAL REDUCTION DISASSEM BLY

TRANSMISSION DISASSEMBLY

Remove the following:
- Clutch/driven pulley (page 1 0-12)
- Rear wheel (page 1 5-4)
- Rear brake (page 1 5-4)
Remove the a i r cleaner housing bolts.
Release the engine breather drain hose from the
clamp.
Remove the brake cable from the cable holder.
