FUEL RESERVE INDICATOR/FUEL
RESERVE SENSOR
NOTE:

LED DRIVE UNIT BATTERY/GROUND
LINE INSPECTION
Make sure the following items are normal, before
performing this inspection
- Main fuse (20A). sub fuse (1 OA)
- Main relay (page 1 6-1 1 ), Load cut relay (page
1 9-23)
- Ignition switch (page 1 9-20)
- ECM (page 1 6-9)
Remove the inner cover (page 3-5).
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure the voltage between the Black wire termi
nal of the LED drive unit 6P connector and Ground.
There should be battery voltage only when the igni
tion switch turns to ON.
If there is no voltage, check for an open or short cir
cuit in the wire harness.
Check the continuity of G reen/black wire between
the LED drive unit and load cut relay.
There should be continuity.
NOTE:
•
SYSTEM INSPECTION
Make sure the battery and ground line of the LED
drive unit is normal, before performing this
inspection.
When the fuel reserve indicator does not light.
1 . Fuel Reserve Sensor Line Inspection
Ground the Blue/white wire terminal of the LED
drive unit 6P connector with a jumper wire.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, check that the
fuel reserve indicator lights.
Does the indicator light?
NO
YES

wire between the LED drive unit 6P

and fuel reserve sensor.
An open circuit in the Green/blaclc
wire between the fuel reserve sensor
and load cut relay.
Faulty fuel reserve sensor.
