Turn the steering stem lock-to-lack several times to
seat the bearing.
Temporarily loosen the steering stem top cone race.
Tighten the top cone race fully by hand, after loos­
ening the top cone race 45°.
Install the lock washer and lock nut.
Tighten the steering stem lock nut to the specified
torque using the special tool.
TOOL:
Socket wrench, 32 mm
TORQUE: 69 N·m (7.0 ltgf·m, 51 lbf·ft)
Turn the steering stem lock-to-lock several times to
seat the bearing.
Make sure the steering stem moves smoothly with­
out play or binding.
Install the stem cover to the steering stem.
I nstall the front fender and tighten the bolts
securely.
Install the following:
- Handlebar !page 1 4-21 )
- Fork lpage 14-18)
- Front wheel ipage 14-10)
