Turn off the server, disconnect the power cord and modem cable (if
installed), remove the cover, and make sure that all cables inside the case
are attached securely. Also, make sure that the colored cable edges are
aligned correctly and that the connectors do not miss any pins.
Disconnect and reconnect the cables. Close the case as described in
"Closing the case" on page 21, reconnect the modem cable and power
cord, then turn on the server.
Turn off the server, disconnect the power cord and modem cable (if
installed), remove the cover and, if you have the proper test equipment,
make sure that the new battery has power. (Although unlikely, your new
battery may be defective.) Close the case as described in "Closing the
case" on page 21, reconnect the modem cable and power cord, then turn
on the server.

CD drive problems

The server does not recognize the CD drive
Probable cause
The CD is not intended for PC
use
The CD is loaded incorrectly
The CD is scratched or dirty
The CD drive needs to be
added as new hardware
The CD cables are not
installed correctly
The CD drive may be
defective
Solution
Make sure the CD is PC-compatible.
Make sure the label is facing up, then try again.
Try cleaning the CD with a lint-free cloth. Make
sure the CD is not scratched.
In the Control Panel window (Start | Settings |
Control Panel), double-click Add/Remove
Hardware. Follow the on-screen instructions
for adding the drive.
Open the server and make sure all cables
between the controller and the CD drive are
connected correctly.
Replace the CD drive.
