Driveline - Removing - BMW K75 Repair Manual

Unscrew the frame retaining bolts at the left and right of
the gearbox.
Slacken offthe bolts (arrows) and take offthe alternator
cover.
Driveline - removing
Slacken off the retaining bolts (arrows) for the bearing
mount on the underside ofthe gearbox. Take offthe
bearing mount with the cent re and side stands.
Note:
The screws are microencapsulated (self-Iocking) and
can not be reused.
Slacken off the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine
behind the bearing mount and secu re bearing mount to
the gearbox again.
Slacken offthe starter motor retaining bolts at the
gearbox. Slacken off the gearbox retaining bolts (arrows)
atthe engine.
Detach the spring strut at the bottom and pul! the bottom
spring strut eye out in the direction ofthe arrow overthe
threaded pin.
Note:
Ta avoid damaging the driveshaft flexible gaiter, tie up the
swinging arm with wire or similar orwedge a piece of
wood between the swinging arm and the gearbox housing .
