pull
the
pipe with O-ring
out
of
the
rubber
bushing
in
the
the
lower
section
ofthe
crankcase.
Unscrew
and
remove
the oil
filter cartridge (1)
using BMW
oil fil ter
wrench

Crankcase lower
section -
removing
Remove the bolts
(arrows) retaining
the
lower
section
of
the
crankcase.
Slacken off retaining
bolts
(1 and 2).
Take offthe
bottom
section ofthe crankcase.
Output
shaft - removing
Take the output shaft out of the crankcase
.
Note:
The gearwheel and
needle
roller bearing (arrow) are
loose
on the output shaft.
Take outthe O-rings (1) forthewater an oil
passages.
Take off shaft sealing ring (2).
