rubber bushing
has engaged
in the
gear
housing.

Never lit the swinging arm with
the rear wheel drive
litted,
as
the
bushing will not be
able
to
engage
in position.
Warning:
Be sure
to prevent
the swinging arm (rom falling.

Insert
swinging arm fixed
bearing journal in
the swinging
arm
mounting with
a sl ight
twisting
action
using BMW
puller 26

660, and
tighten
the
three
retaining screws.
Tightening
torque:
Swinging arm fixed
bearing

1 Nm
Goat swinging arm
moving bearing
journal

with
"Never-Seez"
.
Pull swinging
arm towards swinging
arm
moving bearing.
Insert bearing
journal and screw into
the gear housing
by
hand.
Tighten bearing journal with
a
torque wrench. Screw
on
locking
nut (1)
and tighten
with torque wrench.
Tightening
torques:
Bearing journal
Locking nut
Drive shaft
-
installing
7.5±0.5Nm
41

3Nm
Goat drive
shaft splines with
Staburags NBU 30 PTM
or
Optimoly Paste PL.
Introduce drive
shaft in swinging arm and
push
across the
splines.
The
snap ring
must be heard to locate in
position
.
Connect up
clutch
cable to
withdrawal arm.
