Spring Strut - Removing; Final Drive - Removing; Rear Swinging Arm - Removing - BMW K75 Repair Manual

Spring strut - removing:
Important:
When removing the spring strut it is important to secure
the swinging arm (with strap, wire, wooden block)
so
that it
cannot fall down and damage the gaiter on the gearbox
output shaft and drive shaft. Maximum securing strap
length
349 mm.
Slacken off Ihe four final drive relaining bolls (arrows) .
Slacken off Ihe spring slrul relaining screws (1) and lake il
off.
Final drive-removing
Unscrew and remove Ihe four final drive relaining bolls.
Disconnecl Ihe plug conneclion for Ihe speedomeler
sensor. Apply Iighl blows 10 Ihe final drive 10 dislodge il,
and lake il off.
Rear swinging arm - removing
Slacken off Ihe bearing journailocknul (arrow).
Unscrewlhe bearing journal wilh a 6 mm Allen key.
Slacken offlhe Ihree relaining screws (arrows) for Ihe
fixed swinging arm bearing.
Unscrew and remove Ihe!wo bolls.
Screw BMW puller

in Ihe cenlre hole ofthe fixed
bearing and lighlen Ihe locknut.
Slacken off Ihe Ihird relaining bolt.
Pull oul Ihe fixed bearing by lurning il slighlly 10 and fro.
Take oul Ihe swinging arm.
