Other Serial Cables

4. Plug in the serial device's power cable.
Plug the female end of the power cable into the power connector on the back of
the serial device.
Plug the other end into a grounded three-prong wall outlet or power strip. (Do
not use a two-prong adapter.)
Configuring the Device
Once the device is connected to the workstation, you need to configure it. Select "On-line
Books" from the Help toolchest. Select the Personal System Administration Guide, and
search for "Setting up Serial Peripherals."
You may want to connect other serial devices to your Indigo. Below you'll find
information on what serial cables you can use with your IRIS Indigo workstation.
