9-4. Clearing Events

This menu allows user to clear events (erase data) from DVD disk without reformatting. Clear
event settings determine how your DVD option is used during operations as well as giving the
user information on the operational status of the DVD-RAM option. Information displayed in the
menu should be as indicated below when this sub menu is accessed from DVD menu.
To access, cursor select CLEAR EVENT, then push ENTER button at front panel.

DVD Disk Should Be Cleared When:
a) User wants to erase all data from DVD disk.
b) Disk errors occur (STATUS is EVENT ERROR).

To Clear DVD
‡@ Verify STATUS to NOT ASSIGNED or EVENT ERROR. Access ASSIGN DVD USE (sec.
'9-2-1. Assigning DVD Use' previous) to, PB/REC USE or PB USE ONLY. And change
settings to NOT ASSIGNED. Return to this menu.
If to DVD ERROR or EVENT ERROR, you can stay in this menu and clear DVD.
‡A Verify indication for REC and PLAY similar to those shown in menu above
‡B Cursor select DVD and push ENTER at front panel to access CLEAR DVD sub menu
shown below (This menu can only be accessed if STATUS indication to NOT ASSIGNED or
EVENT ERROR.
