1) Generate a halftone test print (PG-TYPE=5). Is the problem noted?
NO:
Developing assembly
2) Check the developing cylinder. Is it normal?
NO:
Transfer unit
3) Is the locking mechanism for the transfer blade normal?
NO:
4) Does the transfer blade have warping, bending, or a fault?
YES: Replace the transfer blade.
5) Does the transfer belt have scratches, bending, or a fault?
YES: Replace the transfer belt.
Fixing roller
Copy paper
6) Is offset noted on the surface of the fixing roller?
YES: Check the fixing roller (upper, lower) for deformation.

CHAPTER 5 TROUBLESHOOTING IMAGE FAULTS/MALFUNCTIONS
If all colors, go to step 6.
If a specific color, go to the next step.
• Clean the rail of the mirror mount.
• Check the cable of the scanning system.
Replace the developing assembly.
Remove the cause.
Is the copy paper moist?
Try different paper; advise the user on the correct method of stor-
ing paper.
