QoS Configuration Guidelines and Restrictions

QoS has the following hardware granularity for the committed information rate (CIR) and the peak
information rate (PIR) values:
CIR and PIR Rate Value Range
134217729 to 268435456 (256 Mbs)
268435457 to 536870912 (512 Mbs)
536870913 to 1073741824
1073741825 to 2147483648
2147483649 to 4294967296
4294967297 to 8000000000
Within each range, PFC QoS programs the PFC hardware with the rate values that are multiples of the
granularity values.
