Resources & Command Line Options

IBM Reply Mode

Resource:
Command Line: -ibmreply (on)
Default Setting: Off
When you switch from one application to another the current contents of the screen is
saved before the new application is displayed. Enabling IBM reply mode will prevent
the colour information from being sent in a reply to the IBM host, forcing the reply
mode to be always set to Field mode, not Extended Field or Character mode.
Send Print Data To Device Or File
Resource:
Command Line: -pf device or file name
Default Setting: NULL string
These commands enable you to specify the name of the device or file to which print
data is directed.
To direct print data to a device, follow the command with a pipe symbol (|) then the
directory and device name. For example:
xteemx340*printerFile: | /dev/device_name
To direct print data to a file, specify the name of the file after the command.
When the NULL string is specified, the printer device is selected using the Printer
Setup dialog box, which is displayed from the File menu.
Note that the Printer Setup option in the File menu will be disabled if either of these
commands are used to specify where print data is to be directed.
Refer to the Print Facilities chapter for more information on printing.
