Common problems experienced during this stage of the installation are:
There is only one file on the tape and that is called readtape !
After extracting the readtape utility, the tape is positioned at the start of the
second tape block. When readtape starts extracting further blocks it assumes
that the tape is at this position. If the no-rewind device has been correctly
specified then the next tar command will read from this point correctly. If the
no rewind device has not been specified then the tape will rewind to the
beginning before extracting the block required - which in this case will be the
readtape utility thus creating the impression that the only file present is
readtape.
The readtape utility is not on the tape !
Only distribution tapes which contain multiple executables have the
readtape utility.

Having successfully extracted the tape into a temporary installation directory, there
will be several hundred files:

tpt*.bdf,
tpg*.bdf
ta*.bdf
ibm*.bdf
trm*.bdf
wy*.bdf
None of the files should be of zero size, if any are then there was probably insufficient
disk space available during the extraction from the tape.

Installation Stages

To complete the installation of TeemTalk, the install script needs to be run. Several
assumptions are made by the installation script.
1. That the user has superuser privileges. By necessity TeemTalk
moves files to system areas to which the user must have the
correct access masks and the directories must be 'writable'.
Installing TeemTalk On UNIX Based Products
The installation script.
The executable for the specified architecture.
Font files for the DEC and Viewdata emulations.
Bold versions of the tis*.bdf fonts.
Font files for the HP emulation.
Font files for the Prime emulation.
Font files for the Tandem emulation.
Font files for the IBM 3270 emulation.
Font files for the Tektronix 4010/4014 emulation.
Font files for the Wyse emulation.
