Target IP
Click the radio button and enter the Target IP Address to be pinged.
Address
Domain Name
Click the radio button and enter the domain name of the host.
Repeat Times
The user may use the Infinite times radio button, in the Repeat Pinging for field, which will tell
the ping program to keep sending ICMP Echo packets to the specified IP address until the
program is stopped. The user may opt to choose a specific number of times to ping the Target IP
Address by clicking its radio button and entering a number between 1 and 255.
Timeout
Select a timeout period between 1 and 99 seconds for this Ping message to reach its destination.
Source IP
Tick the check box and enter the source IP address of the ping packets.
Address
Click Start to initiate the Ping program.

IPv6 Ping Test

The following window is used to Ping an IPv6 address.
To view this window, click Administration > Ping Test > IPv6 Ping Test, as shown below.
This window allows the following parameters to be configured to ping an IPv6 address.

Description
Target IPv6
Enter an IPv6 address to be pinged.
Address
Interface
The Interface field is used for addresses on the link-local network. It is recommended that the
user enter the specific interface for a link-local IPv6 address. For Global IPv6 addresses, this
field may be omitted.
