Un installs caching so that more
memory is available for your applications
program. This option in used only in
' - J
host mode to remove caching that was
installed for a program that was being
run on the host.
NOTE: Caching must be the last resident
program installed in host mode to use the
IU
option.
This command is useful if you have a
program that must be run on the host and
can benefit from caching. You can make a
batch file that will install caching, run
the program, then remove caching.
ID -
Don't install the cache. When you
incl ude this option, you will see how
the cache would have been configured,
but it will not actually be installed.
DEFAULTS:
All drives are cached. The cache
will rely on the driver to determine
when the media has been changed to
flush the cache buffers. If
IR
is
specified (either TURBO /R or CACHE /R),
you must press <Alt>-<Left Shift>-F to
flush the cache buffers before changing
disks.
If a drive is specified but D=kkkk,
'~J '
E=kkkk, and X=kkkk are not specified, all
available EMS Expanded Memory will be
assigned to caching.
