SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
feature is used to install new releases
of the software, but
it
also can be used
to modify your configuration.
If you are installing the PCturbo 286e
for the first time and it finds existing
files, they may be needed by another
program. Quit the INSTALL program and
copy the files to a different disk or
directory. You can then re-run the
INSTALL program and tell it to overwrite
the files.
The INSTALL program will create three new
files in the root directory of your boot disk:
TURBEXEC.BA T
HOSTEXEC.BA T
TURBO.SYS
It
will also alter the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. The
new set of files configures the operating
system for the host and the PCturbo 286e.

Your original AUTO EXEC. BAT file will be
saved under the name AUTOEXEC.OLD. If
you want to start over from the
beginning, rename the old file to
AUTOEXEC.BAT. You will not have to do
this to make simple changes, because the
INSTALL program can be used to alter the
existing files.
