INSTALLING THE DAUGHTER CARD
PCturbo
286e
accommodates a RAM Daughtercard
containing four rows of memory rcs. You can
skip this section if you purchased the
PCturbo 286e with the RAM daughtercard already
installed or if you are not going to use a the
daughtercard. You do not need to remove the
RAM daughtercard to access the jumpers.
The RAM daughtercard mounts in the middle
of the main card.
It
plugs into the connector
parallel to the small daughtercard and the two
TurboBus connectors along the top of the main
card.
To install the daughtercard:
I.
Be sure that the multi-pin connectors
mate properly, so that
ill
of the pins
are inserted into the mating sockets.
2.
Line up the edges of the two boards and
press the boards together.
To remove the daughtercard:
Place your thumb and first fingers between the
main board and daughtercard and pry the two
apart.

Be careful not to angle the boards as you
separate them--this may damage the
daughtercard connector.
