Dual-Port Memory Address
The PCturbo 286e uses a 64K block of the
host's address space for communication with
the host. This memory "window" can be located
at either AOOO:O, BOOO:O, COOO:O, DOOO:O, or
EOOO:O (in hex). The INSTALL program will
test your system to determine which address is
free and locate the dual-port window there.
You will not have to enter any commands or
move any jumpers.
Fast Color Mode (Color Display Update Speed)
The PCturbo 286e screen update mechanism can
be optimized for either the standard IBM color
graphics adapter and equivalents, or for
compatible but flicker-free adapters.
If you have any kind of color adapter, this
section will automatically test if your
adapter is flicker-free Or requires special
handling. You can experiment with either mode
using the Turbo command parameters.
I/O and IRQ Jumpers
The INSTALL program will ask you for the I/O
address and the interrupt you jumper-selected
during hardware installation.
o
The I/O address must end in 0 or 8; other
values will be rejected.
