When you boot a system with a PC turbo 286e
installed, the following things happen:
o
The operating system is loaded from the
boot disk into the host's memory.
o
DOS will look for and install the
contents of the CONFIG.SYS file in the
host.
o
The AUTOEXEC.BA T file will be executed.
It
will determine that the host is being
booted and invoke the HOSTEXEC file.
The HOSTEXEC file will execute and perform the
commands in your original A UTOEXEC file.
It
will then ask you if you want to Turbocharge.
N
If you answer No, you will exit the batch
file and return to the operating system
where you will be given the DOS prompt.
Y
If you answer Yes, DOS will be loaded
into the Turbo's memory.
o
The TURBO.SYS file will be installed
to configure the Turbo's DOS.
o
The AUTOEXEC.BA T file will be
executed again.
It
will determine
that the PCttirbo is booting and will
invoke the TURBEXEC file.
