APPENDIX G - MESSAGES
Program may not be compatible with 80286
Processor
There are two possible causes for this
message:
o
The applications program you are running
uses instructions that are not supported
by the 80286 processor. Ask your
dealer if there is a version that is
compatible with the IBM AT or run the
program on the host.
o
If you are a programmer developing
software, this may indicate a bug in your
software.
80287 Numeric Processor installed
If you have installed the 80287 math chip, you
should see this message when you first enter
Tur bo mode. If you donot see
it;
check the
. 8028}ICand the jumpers. .
Cannot Access 286 Card. Please check all
board jumpers and try again.
This means that the system cannot find the
dual port . memory or· the I/O address.
o
Check the 1/0 jumper setting.
o
. Check that the card· is securely seated in
the host.
o
Re-runINSTALL, making sure that the I/O
address you enter corresponds to the I/O
jumper setting.
