The host and the Turbo run copies of DOS that
are independent of each other. For example:

You can change drive and directories in
'--./

Turbo mode without affecting the host
mode. Similarly, you can log onto a
different drive in host mode and not
affect the Turbo mode.

When you switch from Turbo to host, you
will be return to the same drive and
directory you were in when you were last
in host mode.

When you switch from host to Turbo, you
will return to the same drive and
directory you were in when you were last
in Turbo mode.

When you boot your system, the host loads DOS
in to its memory from your boot disk. The
first time you enter Turbo mode, DOS is
loaded into the memory on the PCturbo 286e.
When you boot a standard PC system, the
f allowing things happen:

The operating system is loaded into
memory from the boot disk.

If the boot disk contains a file called
CONFlG.SYS, DOS will read this file and
install any device drivers
it
contains_

This configures your system, for example,
by installing RAM disks and device
drivers required by some peripherals.
