SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
RUNNING THE INSTALL PROGRAM
NOTE: If you are installing a Conquest,
CramRAM, or ECCELL multifunction card,
run the Software Installation Program
included with it before running the
PCturbo 286e INSTALL program. Do not
install disk caching, because it will be
activated automatically.
The INSTALL Program modifies your AUTOEXEC.BAT
file.
It
also creates new files called
TURBEXEC.BAT, HOSTEXEC.BAT, and TURBO.SYS.

If these files are not present on the
boot disk, this program will create them.
If these files are p"resent, it will
modify them.
The program can be run more than once. This
can be used to alter the system configuration.
For greatest safety, perform the installation
on a backup copy of the disk you use for
booting. See page 3-1 for instructions on
how to create a backup boot diskette.
To run the INSTALL Program:

Turn on the system's power and boot DOS.
Place the PC turbo 286e software diskette
in the currently logged disk drive and
type
Install <Enter>
The next section of this manual describes the
INST ALL program.
