REFERENCE
If the boot disk contains an AUTOEXEC.BAT
file, this batch file will be executed.
This file can contain any command
that can be typed from the keyboard and
some special batch-file commands. You
can use
it
to change the DOS prompt, set
the search path DOS uses to find programs
and configure the serial and parallel
ports.
It
can also automatically execute
a program.
The INSTALL program, which you will use to set
up the system, will create three new files:

HOSTEXEC.BA T - This file will replace the
AUTO EXEC. BAT files function. Commands in
HOSTEXEC.BA T will only be executed
when the" host system is booted.
TURBEXEC.BA T - This file acts as the
PCturbo's AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
It
is
executed when the PC turbo 286e is booted.
TURBO.SYS - This file is the PCturbo's
version of the host's CONFIG.SYS file.
It
contains a special device driver that
provides access to all host block
devices.
The INSTALL program changes the AUTOEXEC.BAT
file so that it functions as a switch. When
the host boots, the AUTOEXEC invokes the
HOSTEXEC file. When the PCturbo 286e boots,
the AUTOEXEC invokes the TURBEXEC file.
