OPERATION
PARITY ERRORS
The PCturbo 286e has XT compatible parity
error- detective circuitry. If there is a
parity error on the PCturbo 286e,you will
have a chance to save your data before
shutting d()wn the system.
When a parity error occurs, the screen will
display a warning message. You will J:1e given
two choices:
I)
Cold boot by pressing <Ctrl>-<Alt>-<Del>
2)
Press Fl to return to the interrupted
PC turbo environment, with parity
DISABLED.
Cold booting is the safest choice if you have
recently saved your data to disk.
If you have not recently saved your data, you
can Press Flto return to the interrupted
program and try to save your work.

NOTE: Press Fl at your own risk--you
will not have any kind of error
protection and you will already have one
error affecting your system. Do not keep
working any longer than is necessary to
save your data to disk. There are two
concerns:
The error may have affected your data.
Save it under a new file name so that you
will not erase your last copy of the
file.
