Each drive can be in either DOS,
Protected, or EMS Memory on the host or
the Turbo. The Turbo can access disks in
its own memory

in the host's memory,

but the host cannot access disks in the
Turbo's memory.

To place a RAM disk in the host's memory,
place" the command in the CONFIG.SYS
file. Disks in the host's memory will be
a vailable in Turbo mode and host mode.

To place a RAM disk in the Turbo's
memory, place the command in the
TURBO.SYS file. Disks in Turbo memory
will be available in Turbo mode only.

If a RAM disk is to be in EMS memory, be
sure that the EMS device driver appears
in the CONFIG.SYS before the RAM disk
command.
The best place for a RAM disk is in EMS
Memory on the

if it is a vaila ble.
RAM Disks placed there will not take DOS
Memory away from applications running on
the host or the Turbo. They will be
available in both Turbo and host modes.
If the host does not have EMS Memory, the
best place for RAM Disks is in the host's
DOS Memory.
Specify only

type of memory (either
DOS or EMS) for each drive. You can have
some drives in each type of memory.
