THE INSTALL PROGRAM
Copying the Productivity Software
The INSTALL program will copy the Productivity
Software onto your boot disk.
o
If you boot from a floppy, use a bootable
disk with at least 120 kilobytes free.
When asked, enter the drive from which you
boot.
o
If you boot from a floppy, type A.
o
If you boot from a hard disk, enter the
name of the drive, typically C.
The INSTALL program will copy the PCturbo 286e
'----./
files to the boot disk.
o
If you indicated a hard disk in the
previous step, the program will create a
sub-directory called \pcturbo and copy
the software into that directory.
It
will add \pcturbo to your command search
path so that the system can automatically
find the Turbo software.
If the boot disk alread y has a program with
the same name as one of the Turbo's files,
INSTALL will ask if you want to quit or
overwrite the file.

If you are running INSTALL to change an
existing conf igura tion, tell it to
overwri te the files.
It
will copy
the files from your distribution disk,
overwriting the existing copies. This
