Fault messages

Many event messages indicate a fault in the grid. They are not operational faults of the device. The triggering levels are
defined in standards, e.g. VDE0126-1-1. The device shuts down if the values exceed or fall below the approved levels.

Explanation/remedy
Because the temperatures inside the device are too high, the
device reduces its power to prevent damage to the device.
Note the technical data. Ensure that the convection cooling is
not impeded from the exterior. Do not cover the cooling fins.
› Ensure sufficient cooling of the device.
› Remove any foreign bodies that may be on the device.
› Clean the cooling fins
A generator string is disconnected from the device due to a de-
fective fuse. Establish the cause of tripping by measuring all DC
strings with a clip-on ammeter. - If there is no current flowing
in a string, then the associated DC fuse is defective.
Check the no-load voltage and layout of the PV generator. Re-
place the damaged modules if necessary.
› Replace the PV fuse with a fuse size that is of the same type.
Explanation
– The fault relay has switched.
– Feed-in was ended due to a fault.
– The fault relay releases again.
– The device feeds back into the grid again after a country-
specific time period.
Explanation
Device waiting until the start voltage is
reached.
Message will be displayed when the de-
vice is started. The generator voltage is
lower than the starting voltage (pre)set
on the device or the grid is still being
checked for stability.
Insufficient generator voltage and power,
status before the transition to night shut-
down.
Remedy
PV modules must be sufficiently supplied
with daylight => if necessary, remove cov-
ers.
Start voltage set too high. => Check the
DC configuration of the PV system and re-
duce the "Start voltage" in the menu, if
necessary.
> Is the web user interface showing the
correct voltage measured on the DC ter-
minals? => If necessary, check the wire
voltage individually.
> XL version: Is the DC isolator switch
switched off? => Switch off the DC isola-
tor switch
> Is a DC polarity reversal present? =>
Check polarity according to chapter 7.5.
> Is the firmware completely installed? =>
Reinstall the firmware according to "Soft-
ware-Update-Guide xxx".
